Saifai: Around 1.25 lakh invitees, including the country's high and mighty, are likely to attend the “tilak” ceremony of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's grandnephew Tej Pratap Yadav in Etawah on February 21. These include Prime Minister Narendra Modi and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

To oversee the preparations, Uttar Pradesh DGP A K Jain visited the native village of the SP chief, Saifai in Etawah as VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to bless the prospective groom, IG (Public Grievance) A Mutha Jain said in Lucknow. Meanwhile, in view of Modi's expected visit, his security team on Wednesday visited the venue and reviewed the arrangements.

Lok Sabha member from Mainpuri Tej Pratap Singh Yadav is all set to marry Lalu Prasad Yadav's youngest daughter Raj Laxmi on February 26. Saifai, the home town of first family of Samajwadi Party is buzzing with activities for tilak, a pre-wedding ceremony, of young MP.

SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had personally invited PM Modi for the ceremony and he gladly accepted the invitation. A team from prime minister's Special Protection Group (SPG) has already visited Saifai to review the security arrangements of the venue. A rehearsal of landing an India Air Force plane has also been done at the air strip of Saifai.

A number of Bollywood stars, singers, politicians and bureaucrats are to fly down to Saifai to attend the ceremony.

Specialist chefs of different cuisines have been called in to prepare mouth watering dishes. Gujarati food, traditional UP and Bihari food will be on the menu for the ceremony.  Special on the menu would be 'sarrata' (special sour raita), bedai, dahi-ke-aloo, baati-chokha, ulda poorie, paneer filled chola-bhature. Among the sweet delicacies are imarti, jalebi served with chilled rabri, sohan halwa, kulfi and moong ki daal ka halwa soaked in pure desi ghee, IANS reported.
