New Delhi: The new Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has always been known for his youthful approach towards politics. Giving the stereotype politics a back seat he has always showed a new and fresh way to lead. Rahul's viigrous and energetic methodologies have yielded him public interest and have let him connect directly with the people. He was given the charge of both NSUI and Youth Congress by her mother and with his young brigade, he took the charge of bringing a difference in the way a nation is supposed to be led. Here we give the names of 9 prominent members of Rahul's youth brigade: 1. Jitendra Singh: India's youthful sports minister, AICC secretary and two time MLA from Alwar district was given the charge of carrying out Rahul's committments within the Youth Congress. He is a trained engineer from Germany and his mother Mahendra Kumari was an MP of BJP from Alwar district. He is considered the eyes and ears for Rahul's inner circle. 2. Jyotiraditya Scindia: India's power minister, who replaced Sushilkumar Shinde with independent charge, is the son of late Madhavrao Scindia and Madhvi Raje Scindia. He's a Harvard graduate and has gained experience in big firms like Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He was elected to Lok Sabha in 2002 from Guna district Madhya Pradesh which was previously represented by his father. He was re-elected in May 2004 and 2009 and served as Minister of State for Commerce & Industry at the Centre. 3. Sachin Pilot: India's minister of corporate affairs, Sachin Pilot is the son of late Rajesh Pilot and a major leader of Gurjar community. He became the youngest MP at the age of 26 and defeated BJP's Kiran Maheshwari by 76,000 votes. He married Farooq Abdullah's daughter Sara Abdullah in the year 2004 and has two sons. 4. Meenakshi Natrajan: This non-descript Congress MP from Mandsaur holds the position of secretary in Rahul's Youth Congress. Promoted by P A Sangma, she was first appointed NSUI chief, after she did her B.Sc and LlB. The lady is an erudite expert on farm labourers and tribal matters, and hails from Ratlam. She has worked as the president of the youth congress from 2002-2005. She is an eminent writer and has written a book named 1857-Bhartiya Pariprekshya. She belongs to the inner coterie of Rahul's advisers. 5. Deepender Hooda: Son of Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Deepender represents Congress from Rohtak in Lok Sabha, and is considered an emerging Jat leader in his own right in the state. A popular Youth Congress leader in Haryana, he and his father carved a niche for the Congress party in the state away from the Lals - Devi, Bhajan, Bansi, et al. Presently Deepender belongs to the inner circle of Rahul's advisers. 6. Sandeep Dikshit: The son of Delhi's chief minister Sheila Dixit represents East Delhi constituency. He won the 14th Lok Sabha elections with a margin of 2.29 lakh votes. He runs several NGOs and is a member in the standing committee of Parliament on Rural Development. 7. Ajay Maken: India's housing and poverty alleviation minister Ajay Maken is the nephew of late Lalit Maken, who was assassinated during the Eighties. A former president of Delhi University Students Union, He was elected to delhi assembly thrice, and presently represents New Delhi constituency in Lok Sabha. He is one of the emerging leaders in Delhi Congress. 8. Shashi Tharoor: India's minister of state for HRD Shashi Tharoor began his career in the United Nations and became its Under Secretary General. He contested for the Secretary General's post unsuccessfully. He joined Indian politics and was elected from Thiruvananthapuram. Soon, he was made Minister of State for External Affairs, but after the Kochi IPL franchise controversy involving his wife Sunanda, he had to resign. He was reinstated in the recent reshuffle as MoS HRD. Tharoor reportedly provides the world view for Rahul Gandhi in international affairs, 9. Manish Tiwari: Currently serving as Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting, the articulate and often acerbic former party spokesperson is an MP from Ludhiana. He became the youngest spokesperson of of AICC. He became a part of youth Congress in his pre university days.
