New Delhi, Mar 12: Of late, India has seen many successful politicians who decided against tying the knot and they went on to receive the love and affection of their people and kissed the pinnacle of politics.

 


Indian public in recent times, tired of rampant nepotism in politics, , have shown an inclination for trusting and handing over the reins of power to those politicians who said that since they don't have a family, there is no danger of sinking in the quagmire of nepotism. And people trusted them and they played long innings at the top and are still ruling the roost in many states.

Even Rahul Gandhi has announced that he is not interested in marriage. Explaining the rationale behind his disinclination for marriage, Rahul said that if he gets married and has children, then he will become a status quoist and will be concerned about bequeathing his position to his children.

Since Rahul will lead the Congress campaign in 2014 and Narendra Modi, in all probability, will be BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, India looks all set to witness a ‘clash of bachelors' in 2014.
