Kohima, Mar 26: Independent candidate Toyang Changkong Chang has won the Tuensang Sadar-I Assembly Constituency polls in Nagaland.
He defeated ruling Naga People's Front candidate L Elam Chang by a margin of 2272 votes.
The votes were counted today at Deputy Commissioner's Office in Tuensang district.
With Poyang's win the number of Independents rose to eight in the 60-member House.
