New Delhi: Thousands of people today witnessed the glorious moment when Arvind Kejriwal took oath as the eight CM of Delhi.

After the swearing-in ceremony, the newly designated CM addressed the crowd at the Ramlila Maidan.

Earlier in the day, Delhi's chief minister designate Arvind Kejriwal traveled by car, accompanied by his family, to the venue of swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan.

Unlike 2013, though, Kejriwal did not pay a visit to Rajghat on his way to the secretariat after the ceremony. Sources cited his health as the reason for not visiting Rajghat.

Families of senior AAP members, including Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, also attended the ceremony.

  • I want to end VIP culture in Delhi.

  • I want to tell the law and order machinery to not spare anyone who indulges in unlawful activities.
  • Request media to not ask me a timeline for the work I want to do. Other parties couldn't do it in years, but we will work 24 hrs.
  • I respect Kiran bedi, she has lot of experience will take her help.
  • It's not possible for the Centre to take care of important issues related with governance of the state, so I hope the Centre will fulfill their promise.
