"We can build Mangalyaan, but don't we have the technology to upgrade our defence equipments? Can't our DRDO work more efficiently? Do we continue to buy imported defence weapons, and people continue to take kickbacks. We want a transparent security system.", said Rajnath Singh.
Rajnath Singh said, the government is not trying to solve the problems of ex-servicemen. "If our party comes to power, I will suggest to our PM to form an Ex-Servicemen Welfare Commission."
He also said, no National War Memorial has been erected in Delhi even after 67 years of independence.
Singh said, the UPA government in the last months of its 10 years rule has approved the One Rank, One Pension scheme, years after the demands were raised by ex-servicemen.
