New Delhi: Thousands of supporters flocked at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan for the swearing in ceremony of their beloved leader Arvind Kejriwal.

Right from the New Delhi Metro station to venue, enthusiasts swelled in numbers, holding banners and placards, sloganeering in support of their leader. Cutting across all classes people came to lend their support to the Aam Aadmi Party leader. While supporters from Delhi were in full attendance, the crowd also observed a large turnout from neighbouring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Many among the gathering were waving Indian flags and holding placards with image of the RTI activist – turned politician. The mood of the crowd was upbeat and glimmering with optimism.

Slogans like “Paanch saal, Kejriwal”, Inquilab Jinadabad, Vande Mataram were echoing in the atmosphere.

Azimuddin, who came all the way from Varanasi along with a group of supporters said, “Kejriwal has learnt from his mistakes and with majority, he is here to stay and work.”

“He will ensure communal harmony in the region and if everything goes accordingly, AAP will also expand its base in Varanasi.” He added.

Sanjay, an auto driver at New Delhi Railway station, expressed confidence that AAP, with its majority will pass the Lokpal Bill this time. He also believed that even public should co-operate with government then only things would look better.

Nawab, a vendor from Chaveri Bazaar said, he has huge expectations from the AAP and especially Kejriwal; in his last stint as Chief Minister, he stopped paying bribes to the policemen”

When asked on the complexity of Kejriwal's promises being fulfilled, another supporter Md. Fayeem from Sultanpur said, we don't expect him to make 500 schools but even if he builds 10 % of what he has said, it will prove his intent.

Deshraj , a bus driver from Karol Bagh said, Narendra Modi's arrogance made him support Aam Aadmi Party, a man at his position was casting aspersions on a beginner like Kejriwal, it was so unbecoming of him. We have given chance to all of them, so Kejriwal also deserves a chance.
