New Delhi, July 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday indicated that re-induction of former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa was being discussed within the party but did not give a time frame for a decision on the issue.

"Whenever a decision is taken, it will be made known," party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said to queries about Yeddyurappa's possible return.

He said people and groups were keen to join the BJP and referred to former Haryana minister Ramesh Kaushik joining the party earlier this week.

A group of legislators from Karnataka have lobbied with party leaders for the return of Yeddyurappa to the party.

Yeddyurappa, the BJP's first chief minister in south India, left the BJP in December last year to head the Karnataka Janatha Paksha. Though the KJP won only six seats in the assembly polls, the BJP has acknowledged that it heavily damaged its chances of retaining power.
