Lucknow, June 1: Demanding a CBI probe into the alleged Noida farm house and 100 other scams by BSP government in Uttar Pradesh, a delegation of BJP leaders today met Governor B L Joshi and handed over a memorandum to him.
“We have demanded a CBI probe into the Noida farm house scam, 100 other scams exposed by the party, a judicial inquiry into the Bhatta-Parsaul incident and release of innocent farmers by the police from the Governor and handed over a memorandum to him in this regard,” party state president Surya Pratap Shahi told reporters here.
He said their delegation urged the Governor and sought his intervention to save innocent farmers from atrocities of the ruling BSP government.
In Noida, the land of farmers was acquired and sold to those close to the government as farmhouses, he alleged, adding that BJP had highlighted over 100 scams in Mayawati's regime and felt that only a CBI probe could expose those behind the scandals.
The BJP leaders also handed over a CD named ‘Mayajaal', which they claim contains information about the alleged scams in the BSP regime. PTI
