Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would contest from Pulivendula seat in native Kadapa district during the Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.  Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been MP from Kadapa, is fighting the Assembly polls for the first time. Pulivendula is a stronghold of the YSR family and it was represented by late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Simultaneous elections to Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha would be held in Seemandhra on May 7.  YSRCP released a list of 175 candidates for an equal number of Assembly seats and 24 nominees out of 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Seemandhra today.

Jaganmohan Reddy's uncle Y V Subba Reddy is the party's nominee for Ongole Lok Sabha seat.  Congress MPs in the outgoing Lok Sabha SPY Reddy and Ananta Venkatarami Reddy have been fielded from Nandyal and Anantapur parliamentary seats, respectively.
