Raipur: Taking a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's endeavour to interact with people through 'Mann ki Baat', Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh is also set to communicate with people of state through radio every month, in a programme named 'Raman Ke Goth'.

"Chief Minister Raman Singh will share his thoughts with people on Akashwani in a programme to be aired from 10.45 am to 11 am on second Sunday of every month," Commissioner of state's Public Relations Department Ganesh Shankar Mishra said.

"He will be the first ever Chief Minister of the country to address people of his state every month through a regular radio programme," Mr Mishra claimed.

The programme, titled as 'Raman ke Goth', will be launched from September 13.

It will be an interview-based programme in which the Chief Minister will talk about social-cultural and administrative activities of Chhattisgarh besides development schemes of his government, he said.

State's public relations department in association with Akashwani, has already started making outline of this programme aimed at reaching out to people, including those living in forested remote areas, so as to provide them information about government welfare schemes and at the same take their feedback, he said.

It will be simultaneously aired on all the Akashwani centres of the state including capital Raipur.

The government has instructed officials of panchayat and rural development department and urban administration department to arrange transistors in Gram Panchayat buildings, community halls, function halls, and other public places, and also to invite people there so that maximum population may get to listen to Chief Minister's interview, he added.
