New Delhi: After the spectacular show in Delhi, AAP plans to contest the Lok Sabha elections and hinted at taking on big leaders of rival parties with one its leaders Kumar Vishwas fighting against Rahul Gandhi.  AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing a public meeting here marking the party's victory, also appealed to “honest” people from all spheres and political parties, including Congress and BJP, to join his party in the fight against corruption.

Earlier, addressing the gathering, AAP spokesperson Manish Sisodia, who won from Patparganj assembly seat, said party was ready to face any Congress or BJP bigwigs in the Lok Sabha elections.

“If needed, we would not shy from fielding our member Kumar Vishwas against Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

In his address, Kejriwal called upon “businessmen, entrepreneurs, social organisations and industrialists to come out in large number and join AAP, as party alone can't clean the mess in whole country. This country needs good people.” AAP recently emerged as the second largest party in the Delhi assembly polls by winning 28 seats.

Without elaborating the number of seats and in how many states AAP would be contesting general elections from, he urged people to “donate generously” as party would need more funds to contest re-election for Delhi Assembly and 2014 general elections.

“This fight (assembly election) could not be fought without your donations. We will now contest Lok Sabha polls and request you to donate generously. For this, we would open website for online donations,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal asked his candidates and volunteers to get ready for re-elections for Delhi Assembly and said they should not become complacent with the victory and go to their respective constituencies, begin the campaign.

He appealed the people not to waste their vote on BJP, as they have betrayed them by disrespecting their verdict of electing it as a single largest party.

“This is for the first time they are saying that they would  not form government using manipulative politics, but would they take the same stand if same situation arises after general elections,” he said, adding it is BJP's gimmick.
