Fastest to 3000 runs in T20Is, 1 Indian and 2 Pakistan batters in list
Consistency is not expected from the batters in the shortest format of the game as strike-rate is important. But there are a few batters in the history of T20Is who have been extremely consistent and have scored a lot of runs at a decent strike rate.
5. Martin Guptill of New Zealand is the fifth fastest player to complete 3000 runs in T20Is. He did so in 101 innings in the format against Scotland in Dubai during the T20 World Cup in 2021. He made his debut in the shortest format in February 2009 and took 12 years and 261 days to reach the landmark.

4. Australia's World Cup-winning captain Aaron Finch is next on this list. He completed 3000 runs in T20 Internationals in just 98 innings and is the fourth fastest to the milestone. Finch reached the landmark against arch-rivals England in Perth in October 2022 and it took a total of 11 years and 270 days for him to reach the 3000-run mark after making his debut in January 2011.

3. Babar Azam of Pakistan reached the massive 3000-run landmark in September 2022 in Lahore, also against England. He did so in just 81 innings and it took him only six years and 23 days to reach the magical landmark. For the unversed, Babar made his T20I debut in September 2016 and amassed runs at will to become the joint-second fastest to the milestone.

2. Virat Kohli, the Indian superstar and also the former captain, also took 81 innings to complete 3000 runs in T20Is. Like Babar and Finch, he also reached the milestone against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in March 2021. Kohli took 10 years and 275 days to complete 3000 runs in his career after making his T20I debut in June 2010.

1. Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan is sitting pretty at the top of this list as he reached the 3000-run mark in just 79 innings. He crossed the landmark against New Zealand in Rawalpindi in April 2024. He did so in just 8 years and 362 days after making his debut in the shortest format back in April 2015. Rizwan's record is unlikely to broken any time soon as he was supremely consistent in scoring runs in the format.
