Pakistani actor Fawad Khan who became the heartthrob of India, turned 35 today. Fawad, who debuted in Bollywood with 2014 movie ‘Khoobsurat’ became a man crush for many. He made women weak in their knees with his dapper looks and talkative eyes. Within no time, Fawad was the only one everyone spoke about. His public appearances hogged a lot of limelight and many thronged to cinemas just to see him on the silver screen. While his career span in Bollywood was surrounded by controversies, still the actor from neighbouring country enjoys a massive fandom. Apart from acting, Fawad can do wonders with a mic as well. He was the member of a band called ‘Entity Paradigm’. The band released their debut movie in 2003, Irtiqa, after which they disbanded looking for other opportunities.
Fawad’s first experience in front of the camera was not the serial ‘Humsafar’, like many believe. His first stint was in 2000, in a TV show called ‘Jutt and Bond’.
Before his family settled in Lahore, Pakistan, Fawad travelled a lot. Before he turned 12 he had already stayed in Manchester, Greece and Saudi Arabia.
Fawad is widely remembered for his role of critically acclaimed movie ‘Khuda Kay Liye’. But little does anyone know that he wasn’t the first choice of director Shoaib Mansoor. Mansoor wanted to cast Ali Zafar for the role of Sarmad but due to date issues, the movie fell into Fawad’s laps.
His wife Sadaf whom he wed in 2005 was his childhood sweetheart. The couple had two kids now the younger daughter was born a few weeks ago.
Though Fawad is the highest paid Pakisatni actor as of now, he didn’t always want to take up acting. His first dream was to be an aeronautical engineer.
Fawad loves cricket so much so that once when Pakistan lost to India in a crucial match, he went to depression. His parents had then forbidden him to watch the game.
