World's 10 countries with no armed forces

New Delhi: Armed forces are considered much important for the defence, survival and protection of a country. China is believed to have the largest armed forces in the world. Still there are some countries having even not a single fighting arms due to diverse reasons. Below is a list of 10 countries without armed forces. These countries have absolutely no military forces.1. NauruAustralia looks after Nauru's defense under a casual agreement between the 2 countries. However, there's a comparatively giant armed police force, and an auxiliary police force for internal security in Nauru.2. Solomon IslandsMaintained a paramilitary force until a heavy ethnic conflict, in which Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific countries intervened to restore law and order. Since then no military has been maintained. However, there is a relatively large police force, and a Maritime Surveillance Unit for internal security. The Maritime Surveillance Unit is equipped with small arms, and maintains two Pacific class patrol boats, the Auki and the Lata. Defence and policing assistance is the responsibility of the RAMSI.3. TuvaluSince the country's foundation, no military has been fashioned. However, there's a tiny police force, and a Maritime Surveillance Unit for internal security. The Maritime Surveillance Unit is supplied with little arms, and maintains one Pacific category watercraft, the Te Mataili.4. GrenadaHas not had a ground forces since 1983 owing to America-led invasion. The Royal Grenada Police Force agency maintains a paramilitary special service unit for internal security functions. Defence is the responsibility of the Regional Security System.5. Marshall IslandsSince the country's foundation, the sole force's permissible area unit is the police, which has a Maritime Surveillance Unit for internal security. The Maritime police investigation Unit is provided with tiny arms, and maintains one Pacific category patrol boat, the Lomor. Under the Compact of Free Association, defence is the responsibility of the United States.6. PalauSince the country's foundation the only forces permitted are the police, which includes a 30-man Maritime Surveillance Unit for internal security. The Maritime Surveillance is equipped with small arms, and maintains one Pacific class patrol boat, the President H.I. Remeliik. Defence assistance is provided by the US under the Compact of Free Association.7. SamoaSince the country's foundation, no military has been shaped. However, there's a little police, and a Maritime Surveillance Unit for internal security. The Maritime Surveillance Unit is supplied with little arms, and maintains one Pacific category water-craft, the Nafanua. Under a 1962 pact of relationship, New Zealand is responsible for its defence.8. Vatican CityMaintains a Gendarmerie Corps for internal policing. The Swiss Guard is a unit belonging to the Holy See, not the Vatican City State. There's no defence accord with Italy because it would violate the Vatican's neutrality. However, informally, the Italian military protects Vatican City. The Palatine Guard and Noble Guard were abolished in 1970.9. Andorra Andorra has no regular army. It however has signed treaties with European countries and France for its protection. Its little volunteer army is solely ceremonial. The paramilitary GIPA (trained in counter-terrorism and prisoner management) is a component of the national police.10. LiechtensteinAbolished its army in 1868 because it was deemed too expensive. Military is just permissible in times of war. However that situation has never occurred. However, Principality of Liechtenstein maintains a law and a Special Weapons and Tactics team, equipped with tiny arms to carry out internal security duties.
