PM Modi in US: Productive first day as he meets Kamala Harris, Japan and US counterparts, global CEOs

During his visit, PM Modi will address the UN General Assembly and attend the Quad leaders Summit as well as hold a bilateral meet with US President Joe Biden at the White House.

PM Modi is on a 3-day visit to United Nations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a 3-day US visit, met Vice President Kamala Harris, his first in-person meeting, at the historic Eisenhower Building in Washington D.C. The two leaders issued a joint statement before commencing delegation-level talks. Welcoming PM Modi, Kamala Harris said India is a very important partner for the United States. Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister met global CEOs across various industries to woo investments for India. The Prime Minister held meetings with CEOs of Qualcomm, Adobe Systems, First Solar, General Atomics and Blackstone Group. During his visit, PM Modi will address the UN General Assembly and attend the Quad leaders Summit as well as hold a bilateral meet with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
