New Delhi: Can you imagine how much difficult your work would have been if there was no Copy & Paste function in your computer. Meet\u00a0 the computer scientist who invented Copy & Paste for computer systems. Lawrence Gordon (Larry) Tesler was born on 24th April 1945\u00a0 in New York City. He has worked for different big names in IT sector such as Xerox PARC, Apple Computer, Amazon.com and Yahoo!He persuaded his graduation from Bronx High School of Science in 1961 and from there he went to study computer science in Stanford University. Soon he started working for Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Larry designed a programming language with Horace Enea namely \u2018Compel' for the beginners.During the time 1973-1976, when he was associated with Xerox PARC, Larry implemented Copy and Paste while working on programming of Gypsy at Xerox Palo Alto Research Centre.\u00a0Tesler in 1980 joined Apple Computer, he served Apple as Vice President of AppleNet, Chief Scientist and Vice President of the Advanced Technology Group among other designations. He made a computer named 'Lisa' for Apple.\u00a0Tesler then left Apple in 1997 and found his own firm meant for kid's programming and use of computers. Later in 2001 he joined Amazon.com and became the Vice president in 2004. In 2005, Larry joined Yahoo! and served as Vice President of Yahoo! Design group and User Experience.\u00a0 \u00a0Tesler is the member of Gorilla Foundation and from December 2008 onwards, Lawrence Gordon Tesler is working as an independent consultant.Thank you Mr. Tesler.
