Baghdad: The ISIS documents now in possession of US Special Operations Forces have laid bare the brutal treatment the terror outfit meted out to its female prisoners, outlining its rules on rape and enslavement.

The documents drawn up by the terrorist group's “Committee of Research and Fatwas” were seized this May when outfit's top finacial official Abu Sayyaf was killed during a raid on ISIS in Syria, Reuters reported.

The huge range of data  gives a deep insight into  the organisational strategy of IS, the terrorists' revenue streams to its handling of stolen oil, antiquities, subjugated people and rules on raping female prisoners, the news agency said.

It lists 15 rulings, which go into explicit detail prohibiting intercourse if a slave is menstruating or is pregnant, and banning forced abortions.

Many of the injunctions deal with rape within families, or the “sharing” of a slave's children.

“Owners” are banned from raping two sisters at the same time, or passing slaves been father and son, or other relatives

Anal sex is also specifically forbidden and the fatwa ordains that any slave who is made pregnant by her “owner” must be kept and freed after his death.

ISIS issued detailed ruling on when "owners" of women enslaved by the extremist group can have sex with them.

Among the religious rulings are bans on a father and son having sex with the same female slave; and the owner of a mother and daughter having sex with both. Joint owners of a female captive are similarly enjoined from intercourse because she is viewed as "part of a joint ownership." the agency added.

The booklet attempts to base its rulings for enslavement in Islamic law, uses quotes from the Prophet Mohamed to claim that Isis fighters should show both kindness and cruelty to prisoners.

It sheds new light on how the group is trying to reinterpret centuries-old teachings to justify the sexual slavery of women in the swaths of Syria and Iraq it controls.

One booklet entitled ‘From our creator's rulings on capturing prisoners and enslavement,' clearly defines rules for how to enslave women who have been imprisoned after their “infidels” have been defeated.

However, Reuters is has not independently confirmed the veracity of documents.

Many of the documents also hold the religious rulings such as fatwas or advice on when to fund travel for jihad, while others provide an outline for the different diwans or departments held within Isis.

The dreaded outfit is trying to portray a romantic image of the restoration of an Islamic golden age. However, Islamic State is fundamentally misogynist and, limits the role of women with its skewed interpretation of Islam.

United Nations and human rights groups have alleged that sexual violence is being committed strategically, in a widespread and systematic manner. The outfit is accused of  systemetically abducting and raping thousands of women & girls It accounted some of the most horrifying stories of woman, including one who had been temporarily married over 20 times, after each occasion forced to undergo surgery to repair her virginity.

Teenage girls abducted by Islamic State fighters in Iraq and Syria are being sold in slave markets "for as little as a pack of cigarettes, a UN report has said.
