New Delhi:

An oil tanker sailing under the flag of Palau was targeted near Oman’s Musandam Peninsula on Sunday by Iran. Authorities confirmed that all 20 crew members on board were safely evacuated after the incident. The Maritime Security Center said the tanker, identified as SKYLIGHT, was hit about five nautical miles north of the Port of Khasab in Oman’s Musandam Governorate.

The area lies close to key international shipping routes, making the incident particularly serious.

Indian and Iranian crew on board

According to officials, the ship was carrying 20 crew members, including 15 Indian nationals and five Iranian nationals. All of them were safely rescued after the attack. Initial reports said four crew members suffered injuries of varying degrees. They have been taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Authorities confirmed that no deaths have been reported.

The Maritime Security Center said it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with other agencies. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause and details of the attack.

Khamenei killed

Beyond Khamenei, the assault claimed seven senior defense figures: security advisor Ali Shamkhani, IRGC commander Mohammed Pakpour, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh (also listed as Amir), Saleh Asadi, Mohammad Shirazi, Hossein Jabbar Amelian, and Reza Mozaffar-Nia.

In Israel's largest aerial operation ever, 200 fighter jets hammered 500 sites- including nuclear facilities, missile plants, IRGC bases, and leadership hubs- preempting Tehran's planned US base attacks.

Hackers seized Iran's popular prayer app, broadcasting warnings to armed forces mid-chaos. Trump hailed the "major success" on Truth Social, branding Khamenei "one of the most evil people in History" and his allies "bloodthirsty THUGS," declaring justice for global victims.

The strikes eradicated 11 top leaders total, paralyzing decision-making as IRGC vows retaliation amid 40-day mourning. Khamenei's "martyrdom" narrative fuels street protests, but the leadership purge, framed by Trump as regime-ending, leaves clerics and generals scrambling. Oil surges, airspaces close and succession battles loom in a power vacuum.
