White City, Udaipur- Udaipur is known as the “White City” because of the presence of many lakes. Another cause is that the city contains my buildings which are made up of marbles which is white in color.
It is a city, a municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is often called the "Venice of the East", and is also called the "Lake City" or "City of Lakes". It is also known for its Rajput Era Palaces.
