“Ice hail fall when there is a sudden decrease in temperature. When rain drops fall from clouds, due to low temperature, the liquid form of water becomes solid till it reaches earth. This is due to the low temperature in the atmosphere. These solidified rain drops are called hail.” Dr. SP Bharadwaj, weather expert said.
