New Delhi: Snowfall in the upper reaches of HImalayas and rains in the plains have led to a sudden drop in temperature in northern states since Thursday. Hundreds of people are trapped in Keylong, Himachal Pradesh.




Leh in Kashmir is the coldest place with temperature -1.5 degrees C.

With the closure of Rohtang pass due to heavy snowfall, dozens of vehicles and hundreds of people are trapped.

Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and  Hemkund as well as high peaks around experienced heavy snowfall.

Apart from Uttarkashi, Harsil, Dayara Bugyal, Sotri Bugyal, Kedarkantha and Harkidoon also recieved snowfall.

Famous tourist places in Himachal Pradesh received two feet thick snowfall.

Heavy snowfall has disrupted life in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Vehicles from Manali to Lahaul could not go ahead towards Gulaba as  the roads were blocked

With the closure of Rohtang pass, dozens of vehicles and hunderds of people were stuck on the way.
