An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla on Tuesday. The quake was reported at 4.38 pm with its epicentre at a depth of 5 km north-east in Shimla, according to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS).
The depth of the moderate-intensity quake was 5 km.
So far, no reports of any damage have surfaced.
