History
Acharya Narendra Dev College was established in early 1991. The announcement of the establishment of the college was made by the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar Singh.
The college was initiated with 80 students of B.Com (Hons.) and B.Sc General in R.K Puram area of South Delhi.
It was in August, 1992 that the college was shifted to its present location in Govindpuri.

The courses available in the college are - B.Sc Hons. Biomedical Science, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Zoology, Mathematics, B.Sc Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and B.Com Hons.
Facilities
Acharya Narendra Dev College is enumerated amongst the DU colleges with the facility of a laboratory. The lab in the college is fully air-conditioned.
The college also has the facility of a web-enabled canteen for its students where the students can access free wi-fi.
Other facilities of the college includes video conferencing centre and conference hall.
Library
The college features an air-conditioned and automatic library comprising of 26,170 books and the number is increasing every year. This library has a good amount of science related books.

The college also has a society which works for women empowerment. This society organises various activities for the female staff and students in order to make them strong and independent.
Acharya Narendra Dev College also won the best college award this year in DU's Antradhawani programme.
While six teachers of this college won the award for Best Innovation Teacher, its students are also attaining success at various national and international levels.
How to reach
Acharya Narendra Dev College is situated in Govindpuri area of Kalkaji. One can either reach the college through a bus or can take the metro till Govindpuri metro station.
