Delhi students to send relief items to flood-hit Kashmir

New Delhi: Students from various universities in the capital are collecting relief material to be sent to people in flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.

Students and teachers of Kalindi College under Delhi University have collected various relief materials, and an amount of Rs.2 lakh from different parts of the city.

"The relief material comprises 10,000 bottles of water, 5,000 packets of biscuits, milk powder, tea, sugar, salt and medicines," said Dinabandhu Sahoo, professor in Kalindi College.

The college has also set up a relief centre on its campus where people can go and donate.

Students of Jamia Millia Islamia also have collected relief material and funds to be sent to Kashmir, where over 200 people have died in the worst floods in half a century.
