Ranchi, Aug 2: Jharkhand MLA Bandhu Tirkey has been summoned to appear before a special CBI court on August 12 in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Special Judge R K Choudhary yesterday issued the summons to Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch MLA asking him to place his side in the DA case pertaining to Rs 6.5 lakh, which was registered by the CBI against him.
The investigating agency, however, had filed a closure report in May this year following lack of evidence.
The court issued the summons after taking note of the closure report.
Tirkey is supporting the Hemant Soren-led government.
