Mathura, July 8: One child is said to have lost her life to diarrhoea in Aajnokh village on the Chhatta Barsana route even as over four dozen villagers battle with the disease, locals said.
Chief Medical Officer Dr BS Yadav, however, has attributed the death of the four-year-old Chandani, daughter of one Kallan, to viral fever.
"Although we have decided to press two more teams of doctors in the village, unless (supply of) clean drinking water is ensured, it would become difficult to control (any diarrhoea cases)," he said.
Meanwhile, village pradhan Narain Singh has demanded immediate stoppage of the supply of polluted water in the village.
Singh, who attributed the child's death to diarrhoea, demanded that a hand pump be immediately installed in the village.
