Two terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in Nowgam district of Srinagar. The two terrorists, Ali and Idrees, have been identified as Pakistani Nationals.
The forces cordoned off the area in the early hours of the morning when the operation was launched. The search party came under heavy fire by the terrorists who were adequately responded and gunned down in the process, the police officials said.
Bodies of both the terrorists were retrieved at the site of action. The material recovered from the terrorists' position gave irrefutable evidence of both being Pakistani nationals, however their affiliation is still unknown they said.
