A 15-year-old girl was injured on Sunday as Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The injured girl was identified as Shahnaz Bano (15), a resident of Islamabad village in Shahpur.

The Indian troops are retaliating strongly to the firing from Pakistani side.

Heavy firing is currently underway.

Fourteen persons, including eight civilians, were killed and over 70 others injured in intense shelling by Pakistan along the IB in Jammu, Kathua and Samba districts and LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts from January 18 to 22.

While there were no ceasefire violations by Pakistan reported along the IB since January 22, intermittent shelling has taken place along the LoC.
