Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign urging people to send their good wishes and messages to the Army and security forces personnel this Diwali.

The campaign will boost the morale of these bravehearts who are guarding our nation's frontiers, far from their loved ones on Diwali, PM said.

People can send messages under the #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign on the Narendra Modi App, through MyGov.in, and also through All India Radio. Many celebrities also took to Twitter to share their messages to make the soldiers happy and thank them for their sacrifices.

To share the special message for Indian soldiers, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took to Twitter on Tuesday to wish them a Happy Diwali in advance.

Known as the Twitter king, Sehwag posted a heart-warming video message on his Twitter handle that exemplifies the selfless contribution of Indian army and soldiers in protecting the nation.

Sehwag said that we celebrate Diwali peacefully only because of them.

"Kisi Bhi Fauji Ko Dekho,Toh Ek Salute Thoko".Your wishes can bring a smile to a Soldier this Diwali.

Send ur #Sandesh2Soldiers via mygov.in, Sehwag wrote .

Others who send in their wishes for the Indian soldiers include actor Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, singer Kailash Kher and several politicians.

Reportedly, some of the messages will be read in PM's Mann Ki Baat.

The #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign is expected to generate increased interaction between the people and the Armed Forces.
