Pakistan’s cowardly act of beheading two Indian jawans has evoked a harsh response from Yoga guru Baba Ramdev who said that ‘New Delhi must make Islamabad pay a heavy price’.

Speaking to India TV, he said that ‘100 Pakistani soldiers should be beheaded’, calling for a response to Pakistan in the same coin.

“India is a powerful country. Hence, India should give a befitting response. I strongly believe in the principle of non-violence, but this is too much… If Pakistan is indulging in violence, we should reply them in same manner. The Pakistani Army beheaded two Indian jawans. Now Pakistan should be ready to sacrifice the heads of 100 soldiers,” he said.

Asking the government to take strong steps to teach Pakistan a lesson, he said, “125 crore people voted in favour of Narendra Modi, they have trusted him. A strong reaction is needed from the government. Actions from our side must ensure that Pakistan don’t repeat this act.”

India has blamed Pakistan for the killing and mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers yesterday along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Lt. Gen. AK Bhatt today conveyed this to his Pakistani counterpart and expressed grave concerns over the incident.

The Indian Army has maintained that ‘full fire support was provided by a Pakistani military post to the killers’, a claim rejected by Islamabad.

The two jawans who were killed and their bodies were mutilated by Pakistan have been identified as Naik Subedar Paramjit Singh of 22 Sikh Regiment and Head Constable Prem Sagar of BSF's 200 Battalion. Both attained martyrdom during an unprovoked firing from Pakistan as they were patrolling the LoC.
