While the posters of Saand Ki Aankh look extremely intriguing, actress Taapsee Pannu reveals that the role of Prakashi Tomar was the most challenging one for her in her entire career.

Taapsee Pannu reveals she hoped to get through the day while shooting for Saand Ki Aankh

Saand Ki Aankh, upcoming Bollywood film starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, has been making a lot of noise among the fans these days. From the maker creative way to promote the film to two interesting characters of Prakashi and Chandro, the film has become the talk of the town. On Tuesday, the Bollywood divas took to their social media to share the interesting posters of their film Saand Ki Aankh and they instantly became a hit among the audience. While the posters look extremely intriguing, actress Taapsee Pannu revealed that the role was the most challenging one for her in her entire career.

We have already seen Taapsee Pannu mesmerize the audience with herpower-packedd performances in films like Manmarziyaan, Mulk, Pink and others. Like all her other films, Taapsee has once again picked a women-oriented film that not only highlights the story of women fighting against the odds but a character which stands out from the crowd. Talking about the film to us, she said, “I think women with a spine will always be a common thing in my films, be it Badla or Saand Ki Aankh.” Taapsee Pannu further claimed that her role in Saand Ki Aankh has been the most challenging one in her eight year long career.

Talking about working on her character Prakashi Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh, Taapsee Pannu revealed that she and her co-star Bhumi Pednekar used to hold each other’s hands before starting the shoot daily and hoped that they get through the day smoothly. She said, “I and Bhumi used to hold each other’s hand and said that Let’s hope we are able to get through this one day. It is extremely challenging physically to perform it.” Taapsee further revealed that she usually connects her characters with any one of her personality traits or from her personal life which makes it easier for her to perform, however, for Saand Ki Aankh, the actress was blank when it came to her performance. Taapsee claims that the biggest challenge for her until now is that ‘out of nothing, she has to create this character.”

Earlier, while talking about the film, Bhumi Pednekar who plays Chandro Tomar in the film said, "These two women by sheer stroke of luck become sharp shooters. They travel the world, they are given incredible recognition, they make our country proud but no one really knows how they fought their house, the society to make a difference in the lives of their grand-daughters and bring positive change for women in their male-dominated community. It is an extremely powerful story.”

Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Saand Ki Aankh stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar playing 82 years old sharpshooters. The film is based on a true story and essays human triumph over faith and spirit. It is produced by Anurag Kashyap and will hit the screens this year.
