Actress Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with her long-time beau Anand Ahuja on May 8th. After walking the red carpet of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2018, she is back in town. Post wedding, Sonam changed her name to Sonam K Ahuja on social media and faced the backlash. The lady stated that it was her choice to take her husband's surname. But not only the lady, Anand also changed his name to Anand S Ahuja on social media. This received a sweet response from Sonam.
In her Instagram story, Sonam shared the screenshot of Anand’s profile and wrote, “This is why he’s the man.”
In an interview to Cannes, the actress said, “Kapoor is also my father's name, so it's a man's name anyway. I chose to keep both. Anand has also changed his name, but nobody wrote about that. I just decided to do it on social media because that's my platform, to say that I've made a choice.”
Sonam impressed fashion police with her stunning appearances at Cannes 2018. She was also surprised with a cake. Now, she is back and will soon start the promotions of Veere Di Wedding.
The movie is all set to hit the screens on June 1.
