Bollywood divas who can kick some butt on the field as well

National Sports Day is celebrated each year on 29th August. It is celebrated to mark the birthday of Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player who won three gold medals in the Olympics for India. While we have amazing sports personalities from India who are adding charm to the country’s name and are making us proud on a world stage, there are a few actresses who we believe would have done great work if they were sports personalities and not actors. Here is a list of five of them who have been playing some form of sport for years and have honed their skills at the game.

Deepika Padukone - Badminton & Baseball

The Padmavati of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone's fitness secret lies in the game of Badminton. Daughter of ace badminton player Prakash Padukone, Deepika has even played the sport on a National level, however, not everyone is aware that she is also a state-level baseball player. When she isn’t shooting, she is often seen playing badminton. Her sister is also a competitive golfer, clearly, Deepika has it in her genes to be a sports star, in another life, maybe.

Taapsee Pannu – Squash

The Soorma actress Taapsee Pannu has been obsessed with the game of Squash ever since she began playing it a few years ago. She never misses out on training when she isn’t shooting or promoting her films. The actress has even mentored a few kids from her club on a few tricks of the game. Taapsee is often seen teaming up with the co-actors of her films to play friendly matches of squash.

Nora Fatehi – Football

The Dilbar star Nora Fatehi has raised the bar for herself with every song she has performed on. Other than dance rehearsals, the other way this Moroccan beauty keeps fit is by practicing and playing football. Surprised? Nora is the only female Bollywood celebrity who has taken football as a sport seriously. She has been trained by an International coach to excel at the game.

Amyra Dastur - Gymnastics & Badminton

Amyra Dastur, the extremely well-known actress down south has multiple releases with the bigwigs of Bollywood this year. Other than being the glamour girl, the actress is an avid badminton player and has been playing the sport since she was in school. Not many people know but Amyra is a fantastic gymnast as well. She has been learning Gymnastics for over three years and tries to go for practice three times a week to keep improving the art.

Jacqueline Fernandez - Fencing & Horse Riding

We all are impressing with the Sri Lankan beauty, Jacqueline Fernandez’s excellent pole dancing skills, but the actress is quite popular for horse riding as well. The stunning actress has taken professional horse riding training in India and since then she is often seen riding horses whenever she finds a chance. She not only has a knack for riding the horse but she has also been learning fencing. What began as a prep for a film slowly became a passion for a sport. Even after the release of the film, the actress continued playing and practicing fencing
