Manmarziyaan controversy

Anurag Kashyap's recently released directorial Manmarziyaan is amidst controversy over smoking scenes. Though scenes have been deleted now, the director is not happy as he wasn't kept in the loop. Now, the leading lady of the film Taapsee Pannu is also facing backlash on social media for standing against this removal of scenes.

One of the Twitter users in a comment wrote that if Taapsee was his daughter, he would have hit her with a belt. He tweeted, ''I swear i wish i was her father, all i need is my belt and a jutti. Shittar mar mar ke I would of taken the actress vala bhoot out from her''. The actress replied calmly to this negative remark. She wrote, ''I already feel bad for your kids. God give them strength to live''.

Phaaji bohot maan rakh laya apne Guruaan da ehe gal karke". Now, Arjun Kapoor has also stood up for Taapsee. Taking to the micro-blogging site, he wrote that one cannot decide what the other person should do or not do. ''No religion allows violence. Nothing in this world justifies what this man has said. The more I read this the more it fuels anger towards this crass thought process. Who gives any man the authority to raise their hand on someone and make them decide what they should do or not do,'' he wrote.

The man has deleted his tweet now.
