Ajay Devgn and Kajol are undeniably one of the power couples of Bollywood. The duo has proved their acting mettle through a number of blockbuster movies and has been giving major couple goals ever since they got married. Fans have been wanting to see the two work together in Bollywood films more often and looks like their wish has been granted as Kajol will be a part of husband Ajay Devgn’s period drama Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. According to the latest reports, the actress has shot for a song in the film in Mumbai.
As per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Kajol has recently shot a song sequence for Taanaji on a lavish set, complete with elaborate rangoli and diyas, constructed in Mumbai's Film City. A source said: "The song was shot over a week in the last week of December and it is a part of the climax. It sees Kajol dressed in a traditional Maharashtrian outfit from the 17th century inside her onscreen home. Although, Ajay won't feature in the number there are glimpses of their past moments together."
The source further told the tabloid, "It has her thinking about her relationship with her warrior husband and a certain situation the couple is faced with at that time. The dance number accentuates her character's emotional state and focusses on her facial expressions."
Ajay Devgn’s Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is the most awaited film of 2019. As 2019 kicked in, the makers of the film also teased the fans by sharing the first look of the actor from the film. Director Om Raut took to Twitter to wish everyone Happy New Year and surprised them with the first look poster of this historical drama. In the poster, Ajay Devgn appeared to be in a war zone with sword in his hands and ready to fight wearing his classic subedar outfit. While the face of the actor is half covered in the poster, Ajay Devgn’s eyes looked fierce and loaded with anger. Check out the pictures here-

It is being said that Saif Ali Khan will also be a part of the film as Ajay has approached him to play the negative role. A source opened up to Deccan Chronicle by saying, "It took Saif a long time to agree to be a supporting actor. After Kal Ho Naa Ho, he had vowed to never do a two-hero film in which he would have a weaker role. But Ajay has personally assured him that he will have a strong author-backed role."
