Bollywood actor Kangna Ranaut fractured her left foot in a freak accident on the sets of Anand Rai's Tanu Weds Manu on Sunday. Kangna was wearing ghunghroos for that particular scene and when her foot got trapped under the tyre, the metal ghunghroo pierced her foot badly injuring her. When the crew finally extricated her from under the bike and the ghungroos were removed, her foot was bleeding.

Kangna's foot was bleeding profusely and she was in immense pain. She was rushed to a hospital in Jalandhar and given first aid. The X-ray revealed that the damage was more serious than anticipated.”

Producer Shailesh Singh says, “She has a minor fracture and has been advised bed rest for at least a week. We are very concerned about her. We arranged for the best orthopaedic surgeon to do the surgery. We will figure out what happens to the shoot later. Right now, our only concern is that she gets well soon.”

Adds director Anand Rai, “The moment the bike skidded, everything seemed to come to a standstill. But I must say that she is a fighter. Even from the hospital bed, she's been asking about the next shoot schedule.”
