Sanjay Gupta and Abbas Mustan have been at loggerheads with each other, over the rights to remake the Spanish action-thriller Ladron Que Roba A Ladron, in Hindi. The fight is now headed for an interesting climax.

Recently, Abbas-Mustan and Sanjay Gupta approached Arjun Rampal with not only the same film but also the same role, says a media report.

Sanjay Gupta's film is supposedly titled Jahan Teri Yeh Nazar Hai (which strangely seems like something Gupta would be saying to Abbas-Mustan under the circumstances!). Abbas Mustan on the other hand have chosen to call the film Players.

In all of this, Arjun is in a tight spot. When contacted, the actor said, “Yes, I am supposed to meet Abbas-Mustan and Gupta,” but playing safe, he was quick to add, “I don't know the details of any of the two films.”

Speaking about the casting process, Gupta said, “My film has many heroes and I want Arjun as one of them.” But on discovering that Abbbas-Mustan had approached Arjun with the film and the same role that he had planned for the actor, Gupta was livid.

While the fight over Arjun still needs to be put to rest, the one over the rights of the film gets murkier. When asked about the original rights of the film, an enraged Gupta said, “I fail to fathom why Abbas-Mustan and the producer of their film Ketan Maru are so stubborn about this whole thing.

I have clearly told them that I have purchased the rights (from the original producer Lion Gate Films). They just refuse to understand!”And Gupta is determined to put up a hard fight. He added, “I have been pressurised by many people in the industry to part with the rights and hand them over to Abbas-Mustan. But I am not going to bow down.”

Strangely, when told that Arjun was approached by Abbas-Mustan as well as Sanjay Gupta, Ketan Maru laughed and said, “Yes, we have approached Arjun and there is some confusion that prevails on our film. But we'll sort it out.”
