Varun Dhawan suffers injuries while shooting for Kalank, shares pic

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan who was last seen in Sui Dhaaga opposite Anushka Sharma, is undergoing an extremely intense workout regime for his upcoming film Kalank. The actor was reportedly shooting an action sequence and it resulted in a halt in the shoot. 

Today, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a picture and showed the battle scars. He wrote, “#KALANK battlescars. शुरू तूने किया ख़त्म में करूँगा। #therealdeal.”

In a recent video, Varun Dhawan showcased his well-chiseled body and he wasseen talking about a "crazy" sequence in Kalank for which he is training himself. He shared a video of himself sweating it out at the gym and he captioned it: "I have been training and trying to get stronger for a crazy action sequence for Kalank. My trainer made me try something new today. P.S the mark on back is from cupping."

Recently, a tweet from the official Twitter account of Dharma Productions read: "Shooting one of the toughest scenes of 'Kalank' and his entire career today is Varun Dhawan! He left no stone unturned for the prep. Wish him luck by leaving your wishes and love below."

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the forthcoming film will star an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. The cast of the film had begun shooting for it almost two months back and the flick will hit the theatres on April 19, 2019. 

The film was actually conceptualised by Johar's late father, Yash, nearly 15 years ago.
