Akshay Kumar releases ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ trailer during Ind vs SA mid inning

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. And so, the hardcore Akshay fans as well as the non-fans are eagerly waiting to watch its trailer. The teaser released today on Star Sports channel during the mid-innings of the thrill-packed India vs. South Africa match. While the first innings of the match are in almost favour of team India, another surprise package by Akshay Kumar added charms to the match. Few hours ago, Akshay announced it on social media where he revealed the timing of the trailer launch.

Here's the most awaited trailer:

The trailer starts with a slapstick yet subtle humour which embellishes most of the Akshay Kumar movie. The film highlights the importance of sanitation in India, while criticising the practice of open defecation in the country. Keshav, a village-boy wants desperately to get married.  He finally meets the love of his life, Jaya and gets hitched to him. But even after marriage, he’s rendered single. How? Jaya finds out the lack of toilet in Keshav’s house and walks out of the marriage. This begins the battle to convince the family members and make arrangements to build a ‘Shouchalaya’ in his house. But father and head of the family is reluctant. According to him, “Jis aangan mein Tulsi lagaate hain, wahan shauch karna shuru kar dein”.

Keshav aka Akshay determines to bring toilet in his village, as a mark of respect to his wife, Jaya and other women as well. This starts his Herculean task to build a toilet in his house. Will he succeed? Will Jaya come back to her love? Watch the movie on August 11, 2017.

Watch the trailer here and enjoy the goofy comedy with a strong message: “Biwi paas chahiye toh sandaas chahiye”.
