After Shahid, Rajkummar Rao is all set to give his fans goosebumps once again with Hansal Mehta’s directorial venture Omerta. The thriller film is based on the real-life story of British terrorist of Pakistani descent Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. The Omerta trailer is here and, Rajkummar looks like he really slipped into the skin of this evil person, and his performance seems equally sinister and innocent, which is crucial for a story that is based on a criminal.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Rajkummar Rao shared the trailer of Omerta. “Finally, here’s the official trailer of #Omerta”, the Newton actor wrote.

Omerta has been shot in real locations across London and India, and the story revolves around some of the deadliest terror attacks in recent history, including the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, the 26/11 Mumbai terror strike and the brutal beheading of Pearl. The trailer looks intense, gripping and shows a brutal true story. Check it out here.

Talking about Omerta, Rajkummar earlier stated that as the film exposes dark reality, it can be a disturbing watch for some viewers. "It can be a disturbing watch for some. It shows you the dark reality of a dangerous world." Omerta marks the return of the formidable actor-director team of Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar, who have worked together in films like Aligarh, CityLights and Shahid.

Omerta has won several accolades and was featured at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was also screened at the Jio MAMI Film Festival.

Omerta has been produced Swiss Entertainment in association with Karma Media. The film is all set to hit the cinemas on April 20.
