Varun Dhawan introduces fans with what went behind building the magnificent Kalank sets

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Kalank has already left the fans excited with its feet tapping songs and appealing trailer. But there is another thing about the film that has left the audience in awe, that is its magnificent and grand sets. Ever since the release of the teaser of Kalank, audience is waiting to go inside the world of Kalank and looks like Varun Dhawan heard them. The makers of the film released a video in which actor Varun Dhawan, who will be seen as Zafar in the film, is seen introducing the fans with what went behind building the magnificent sets.

Titled as the World Of Kalank, the video takes us inside the township that was created by more than 700 crew members in just three months and is called Hira mandi in the film. With larger than life buildings and extra-ordinary carvings, the Kalank set appears to be one of its kind. Producer karan Johar took to his twitter to share the video and wrote, “The magic onscreen is created by them! In the video, as Varun Dhawan takes us inside the grandeur of the film, he also states that Kalank is the film that one should only see in cinema halls to realize the grandness of it. The video also features actors Sonakshi Sinha and Javed Akhtar being in awe of the sets. Even lyricist Javed Akhtar claims that it is unbelievable when he gets the first look of the Kalank sets.

For unversed, Kalank was originally conceptualised about 15 years ago by the late filmmaker Yash Johar and KJo was supposed to direct the film with Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and Ajay Devgn in lead roles. The film will hit the screens on April 17, 2019.
