Indian actor, Kartik Aaryan who is best known for his 'Pyaar ka Punchnama' series recently bagged two movies. One, Kirik Party which is a remake of Kannada hit and two, Dinesh Vijan's 'Luka Chuppi' opposite to Kriti Sanon. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the 29-year-old actor lost out on his role for spreading rumours to be cast alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. As per the reports, Kartik was considered for playing the second lead in a Karan Johar production. Whereas, the movie's actual lead couple is said to be Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Apparently, Kartik's overly enthusiastic team spread the rumours that the actor had already signed the KJo's film and would star opposite Kareena.

A source from Dharma productions said, “Dharma sent Kartik feelers regarding a possible role, but it was nothing concrete. His team messed it up by releasing reports that the actor had been signed by Karan Johar when no such thing had happened. And if that was not enough, they also leaked the news that he was going to be paired opposite Kareena when she was actually paired with Akshay in the film.".

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has been finalised for a film opposite Kriti Sanon titled Luka Chupi. He will also be playing the male lead in Kannada superhit remake Kirik Party.
