Actor Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ is receiving praises from the audience. With good story and talented actors, the movie is earning good numbers at the box office. The film has collected Rs 74.87 cr in 7 days and thus failed to beat superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ that entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club in just six days.
‘Jolly LLB 2’ is having a decent collection and with good word-of-mouth, the rise in the earning is expected in coming days. But, the note worthy thing is despite being the single release of the week; ‘Jolly LLB 2’ couldn’t do what ‘Raees’ did. The latter fought box office battle with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ and still minted Rs 100 crore in six days.
Not only this, SRK’s film opened with the huge number of Rs 20.42 crore but Akshay starrer earned Rs 13.20 crore on its opening day.
‘Jolly LLB 2’ got 3200 screens whereas the screens were divided during the release of ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Raees’. SRK starrer released on around 2700 screens. Thus, it seems that along with facing the clash and getting lesser screen than Akshay’s film, King Khan became the winner.
If ‘Jolly LLB 2’ managed to make Rs 100 crore then that would be Akshay’s seventh film in the coveted club.
The film has managed to cross Rs 70 crore mark. The movie is the sequel of 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’. Besides, Akshay, it also features Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles.
