India is all set to celebrate its 70th Republic Day on Saturday. This historic day of national significance, which is marked with immense joy, fervour, pride and honour, showcases the true essence of Indian independence and freedom. Bollywood has always played a key role in igniting and establishing the fire of nationalism within us. Be it Raazi’s Ae Watan or the more recent Challa from Uri, there are several Bollywood songs to celebrate the true spirit of our 70th Republic Day.

As India gears up to celebrate the day of patriotism on Saturday, here are top Bollywood songs to listen to this Republic Day 2019.

Ae Watan (Raazi)

Sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Shankar Ehshaan Loy with lyrics by the legend Gulzar, Ae Watan from Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi is a treat to the ears.

Bharat (Manikarnika)

Bharat song from Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi gives us an insight into the mindset of a young girl who realises the importance of her nation and decides to fight for her country.

Challa (Uri: The Surgical Strike)

Evoking nationalism to the fullest, Challa from Vikcy Kaushal’s Uri has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev and lyrics are penned by Kumaar. The song has been crooned by Romy, Vivek Hariharan and Shashwat Sachdev.

Vijayi Bhava (Manikarnika) 

Vijayi Bhava song from Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi showcases musical depth, a lot of melody and emotion of patriotism. Music maestro, Shankar Mahadevan, has given magic tough to the music with his soulful rendition to the track.
