Who can forget the song Why This Kolaveri Di sung by him or his powerful performance in his Bollywood debut Raanjhanaa. He is an actor, director and singer. The song was from Dhanush’s film 3. The song received international attention and became an instant hit. It became the first Indian video song to garner 100 million views on YouTube. With catchey lyrics and peppy music, the song still makes you grove to its beats.

The actor shared the screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh. The film was directed by R. Balki. Dhanush impressed everyone with his performance. Though, the film couldn’t do wonders at the box office but critics lauded the film.
