Fans are excited about Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious project since it marks the first collaboration between the real-life couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

After wrapping up the London schedule, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have begun filming for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in Varanasi.The fantasy film, hich also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a leading role, is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The lovebirds reached Varanasi on Thursday and now pictures of the couple posing with a few men in blue outfits have made it to the social media. From the background, the seems the pictures has been clicked in a temple or may be the set of their film.

Talking about the Varanasi schedule of Brahmastra, a source told Bombay Times, "Cameras for Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy starrer film are set to roll at the end of this month in the city, preparations for which have already begun."

The source added that the upcoming shoot schedule will go on for 20 days. "During their 20-day schedule, the film will be mostly canned at the Ramnagar Fort and parts of it inside Chet Singh Fort in Varanasi, for security reasons. The film’s sets are already under preparation inside the Ramnagar Fort. Ranbir, Alia and Mouni are expected to shoot for the film in Varanasi," the source said. 

Talking about Brahmastra, director Ayan Mukerji earlier said, “It’s a modern-day film set in India as it exists today. But the reason it’s called Brahmastra is because the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India. That’s all I would say. There are some costumes, may be not the way you’d expect them to be.”
