A 27-year-old man committed suicide on Saturday and live-streamed his video on Facebook, which was spotted by his friends.
Shubhankar Chakraborty was seen hanging himself to the ceiling fan in the Facebook video. The social media post was noticed by some of his friends on their Facebook wall, following which the police was intimated.
Upon reaching his Shahdara house, his room was found to be locked from inside. Belonging to West Bengal, Shubhankar had been living here since the last two months.
The door was later broken by the police who found him hanging to the ceiling fan.
Shubhankar was working as a maintainer with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). He originally belongs to West Bengal.
His mobile phone was taken into possession by the police. No suicide note has been recovered.
