Shares of engineering firm RITES Ltd surged over 7 per cent on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, after the PSU (public sector undertaking) informed exchanges about two order wins. The counter started the session with a gap up at Rs 285.05 on the BSE, against the previous close of Rs 279.20. The scrip surged further to touch the high of Rs 299.95, a gain of 7.43 per cent from the previous close. On the NSE, the stock started the session at Rs 285. It had closed at Rs 279.05 in the last trading session. The scrip touched the high of Rs 299.80.

The counter has gained after two consecutive days of decline and has outperformed the sector by 6.95 per cent. Technically, the stock trades higher than the 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day and 200-day moving averages

52-Week High, Low

The 52-week high of the stock is Rs 398.45, which was hit on July 8, 2024. The 52-week low of the stock is Rs 192.40, which it touched on March 3, 2025. The market cap of the company is Rs 14,240 crore. 

  
Order Win From African Rail Company

The PSU, in an exchange filing, stated that it has secured a USD 3.6 million purchase order from African Rail Company for the supply of two fully overhauled ALCO locomotives for deployment in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana. The order needs to be executed within nine months. 

"Supply and commissioning of the overhauled in-service Cape Gauge ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives fitted with new Cape Gauge Bogies, Traction Motors, Control System, Air braked, etc. overhauled at nominated facility and warranty support with the deputation of RITES technical team," the filing reads.

Letter of Acceptance (LoA) From South Western Railway

In a separate exchange filing, the company said that RITES-Aryan JV has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from South Western Railway for redeveloping Tumakuru Railway Station. The order needs to be executed within 540 days from the appointed date.
