Maruti Suzuki is on a roll with the immense success and a great market response of Baleno. And now, the company is geared-up to enter the sub-four meter compact SUV segment with the launch of Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.
The highly-anticipated compact SUV was officially unveiled at the Auto Expo and it has created a lot of buzz ahead of its launch that might take place on March 21, this year.
Unlike the S-Cross and the Baleno which are sold through NEXA dealerships, Vitara Brezza might be sold via regular company dealerships across the country. Being a sub-four meter vehicle, Vitara Brezza will neck and neck with Ford EcoSport and TUV300.
The prices of the car are expected to fall in the bracket of Rs 6.5 lac to Rs. 10 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Since the pre-launch buzzes of Maruti Vitara Brezza are getting higher, let's take a look how this compact SUV might be a forerunner in the segment:
Speaking of the aesthetics, while TUV300 has got the Pininfarina styling and the EcoSport has the contemporary design, which are eye-catching, the Brezza, on the other hand, has also got a refreshed look with sharp contours. It gets bi-Xenon headlamps, floating roof, hexa grille slot with a broad chrome line, short overhangs, racing stripes and striking colour options. So with such impressive styling features, the much-anticipated compact SUV will surely snatch the limelight.
The upcoming Brezza has been criticized about the powerplant that it may generate less power what an enthusiastic driver would expect. It will incorporate a tried and true 1.3-litre DDiS, Fiat-sourced multijet engine that is capable to produce a decent power of 90PS with a torque of 200 Nm, which is usually acceptable for a peppy city drive. But not to forget that even Ford EcoSport delivered a 90PS of power output before upgrading to 100PS unit, which was brought in with first compact sedan, Figo Aspire.
Endorsed with a Robust Service Network:
Being a Maruti's family member means the after sales service is absolutely a piece of cake. The Vitara Brezza will hold its resale value as well as will get a boon of the robust service network. The prices of this upcoming compact SUV will be kept competitive to enter the segment and that Maruti Suzuki is known for the low maintenance cost, the future of the Vitara Brezza looks quite promising.
